CV Checklist - What to Include


  1. Include as many key words as possible

  2. Your Name, Contact Details, Email - sounds easy to remember but make sure it’s easy to find on your CV. I’d recommend at the top. I’d also avoid including any references contact number or email on your CV & only give to employers when requested. 

  3. Layout your CV clearly, have a profile or summary the top, then experience these education. 

  4. Include skills - soft and technical, 

  5. Try and not make it longer than 2 pages

  6. Include months and years appropriately 

  7. Have a tailored CV for each role you apply for. Whether you’re applying for different roles in different companies or the same roles but different companies, make sure you have a tailored CV for each application. A tailored CV will always stand out more than a generic one!

  8. Check Grammar

  9. Write your CV in person

  10. Link to your CV, Linkedin or any external links that may be relevant for your application
